Post-war Manila was a fertile ground for a new breed of radio broadcasters. At that time, a few daring souls led by the legendary Bob Stewart, rented a small office space, put up an old radio transmitter, and gave birth to DZBB.
In no time, the fledgling station scored many milestones with news breaking coverages, exclusives, and blow-by-blow accounts of major national events.
Its pioneering programs Newscoop, Camay Theater, and Kwentong Kutsero set the trend in political satires on radio. And as it grew, recognition for its exemplary coverage of key events in the young nation's modern history followed.
At present, DZBB is considered as one of the top stations in the AM band and is recognized as the most awarded radio station in the country.
DZBB - Super Radyo is proud of its line-up of highly respected news and public affairs personalities in the country which include Mel Tiangco, Mike Enriquez, Arnold Clavio, Manolo Favis, Rey Pacheco, Henry Ragas, Armand Roque, Rene Jose, Raul Virtudazo, Manang Rose Clores, Ali Sotto, and German Moreno.
Up-to-the-minute. incisive, responsive, and responsible best typify the RGMA flagship station - DZBB - Super Radyo. |
